With access to a diverse mixture of independent operators and large marine transport companies, Trinity Chemical Industries offers integrated barge shipment management to utilize the cost effective inland and coastal waterways of the United States for the shipment of bulk liquids and chemicals. By integrated, we mean that we can provide rail, highway, or ocean transportation, and equipment, on the loading or unloading end of the barge shipment, along with transloading, storage, and distribution of your liquid commodity.

With numerous shipping channels, ports and harbors, the waterways make for one of the most dynamic and economical distribution systems available. Generally, barging is considered to be one of most efficient means of shipping bulk liquid products. The cost to barge can be as much as half the cost of railroad transportation and as little as one tenth the cost of trucking. A typical barge loads approximately 450,000 gallons although larger and smaller parcels are available.

Incidentally, Tulsa, Oklahoma is the home on the Port of Catoosa, often considered the furthest inland port in the United States.
